“I tested quite a few tools for Clarion that would enable me to connect to QuickBooks and extract data for use within our programs. Most were difficult to use and only exposed a subset of the data that I required. Also, most required a royalty fee to use them within a commercial program. That could get expensive.
I also spent time reading the QuickBooks SDK. Everything is there if you have time to devote countless hours understanding table relationships or the many parameters necessary to create a custom report or extract data.
Clarion QuickBooks Connect introduces a unique way to connect and extract data from QuickBooks. In the same way Clarion uses templates to generate prewritten and tested code within your application, QuickBooks Connect uses their ‘Helper’ program to generate code to the clipboard. All you have to do is select the module you want to work with, pick the appropriate tab (Add, Modify or Query), choose a few options, hit ‘Generate’. The code is automatically generated and can be pasted into your application.
Bob also supplies a sample program and video’s detailing the use of each part of the program. Coupled with this and an extensive help manual, Clarion QuickBooks Connect is a must for any Clarion program wishing to interface with QuickBooks."

"Having used 2 other products to connect with QuickBooks I can say without a shadow of a doubt that QBC {Clarion QuickBooks Connect} is by far the easiest and quickest to use. Other products require what I consider to be a very steep learning curve and require detailed knowledge of the QuickBooks SDK.
QBC has managed to overcome this by the use of the new “Help” utility which actually presents you with the name of the QuickBooks fields and allows a one line update record feature if required so hand coding is a dream.
